We decided to try a new farm out that was a bit closer then the one we went to last year. We get there to find out that they had no apple picking available and were quite sad. As we left Olivia said "but we didn't do any apple picking." Even though that didn't work out. We still found two pumpkins and had a lot of fun playing.
Luckily the weather cooperated and gave us some sun to take the edge off of the chilly wind. But overall it turned out to be a very nice fall day.

Kids posing for Mommy. It's hard work telling Daddy what to pick!

Hayride around the farm.

Time to play.
This is the kids about to go down a slide.

Farmer Dylan on his way to plow a field.

On top the hay tower.

Sitting like a little lady.

Grass maze.
Olivia was imagining that the grass was full of "sprinting thistles". (that's from Tinkerbell)
Dylan lead must of the way through the maze. It really just made a bunch of circles.

rock wall and slide combo
the kids enjoyed it

They had turkeys, chickens, a pig, and a sheep.

I loved Dylan's shirt that says Small Guy 1/2 so I had to put him next to Big Guy for a picture.

All Done
As we were driving home we decided to stop at a place Tom has taking his boy scouts to camp and hike. There was a short hike up to some bluffs over looking the MO river.

Olivia found some purple flowers like her hat.

Enjoying the river.

Found some sand to dig in and found a rock that sparkles in the sunshine.

Underneath the bluffs

The leaves are just starting to turn red and orange. It was a very pretty view.
We had a fun morning of playing.
Enjoy the photos.
Oh Olivia is already anxious to carve the pumpkin into a jack-o-lantern. Holidays take way to long to occur from Olivia's perspective.

I love love love her hat. Did Mom make that? It is soooooooo cute. She looks like a little 1920's flapper with the shorter hair and that hat with the flower. Looks like you all had alot of fun. Glad to see the kids getting some hikin' in. It's good practice for the next time you visit. We miss you all.
Looks like you all had a ton of fun... and such a beautiful day too! Our second snow advisory for the year is in effect today and tomorrow, which means it's cold, wet and miserable. So, enjoy your beautiful weather while you have it! :o)
