Our Pre-Halloween Day

Excited for our busy pre-Halloween day. This pretty much just counted for our Halloween day. We had the library, trick or treat down main street, and our church's trunk or treat Halloween party.

Story time at the library and craft where they made a spider.

trick or treating in the library

trick or treating down main street

Olivia very sweetly said trick or treat and held open her bag. Dylan was much more aggressive then that. He would run and jump in front of the people and say trick or treat sometimes reaching into the bowl of candy or sometime just reaching with his hand. He was very good about only taking one piece and he was very good at saying thank you! The straps on his bag where hard from him to open, one of the straps was tearing and by the end he was dragging the bag so the bottom was shot by the time we got home. I was very impressed though, it was his first year walking and he never needed carrying.

Showing me all her candy!!

Hour and a half later (and that was skipping some of it) we are calling it a success and heading home!!

It was very windy! He had spider webs with spiders in it, two ghosts, and the word BOO hanging from our van. We added some Halloween sound effects and a Jedi with a light saber to make our trunk a success. We won a prize for it. Carmel Apple, YUMMY!

one last photo - Olivia's mouth is blue....

Olivia choose a blue piece of candy to celebrate her latest haul of candy.

Sitting next to her pile of goodies. This was her haul for the day!
Pretty good for one days work!
It took a while for Dylan to fall asleep tonight - the kid was on a sugar high and was singing in his bed for 30 minutes. We had a fun day!!

I love Dylan's monkey costume... and the photo of him chowing down on the banana is adorable! Olivia looks beautiful in her little princess gown. Looks like they had a great time!
