Olivia's Girl Scout troop was going to have a campout in the troop leader's back yard. However due to some chilly nights we decided that the girls probably wouldn't like to sleep outside. So the campout turned into a sleep in your sleeping bags in the troop leaders basement. I stayed with the girls and got to sleep on a couch. BUT to stick with the outdoors as much as we could we played, ate, and roasted s'mores outside before heading in for the night.
A night with 12 girls might have seemed like a hard thing but overall the kids did wonderfully and it was a fun night for Olivia!
Olivia's school had a spirit week and one day it was 80s style attire. Naturally Tom and I just pulled from our childhood and came up with this for Olivia's outfit. She refused to let me roll her pant legs and unfortunately we don't have any of those brightly colored scrunch socks they had back in the 80s. But Olivia was very pleased with what we did come up with to make her more 80s.
The kids had their Primary Sacrament program. They asked the kids questions and then pretty much whatever the kids wrote in response that was their speaking part. I thought it was a very creative idea. Here are the kids telling me their parts.
