We had not yet been to Purina Farms but had heard a lot about it so when my mom's group was setting up a playdate there I thought it would be a good opportunity. We have driven by this place so many times going back to visit my parents and had no idea how close this place was to the highway. The kids started out the day by getting their face painted.
Petting area along with several animals to watch. Both of the kids got to see a cow being milked but they had NO desire to try to milk it (plus there were way too many people around at that time to get a turn).
Inside they taught about animal safety for example if you came upon a stray dog or an angry cat, etc. Then they also had an area where the taught about the history and process of making pet food. Their demonstration had these large wheels and Ashlyn loved them.
Overall we liked it but we doubt it will become a family favorite.
