My sister's family was up to visit and over the weekend we got together and decided to check out a local pumpkin patch in my parents' area. This pumpkin patch left A LOT to be desired but Tom informs me that I'm spoiled by the city pumpkin patches. However, my kids did get to ride a horse and we got to spend time with family which was wonderful!
Here is Olivia and Dylan with Kenzie.
Then Joshua...
and Caleb with Uncle Tom.
Caleb and Uncle Tom were almost completely inseparable because of the many many Star Wars related things to talk about.
Their pumpkin patch consisted of A LOT of PRICKLY weeds and some little tiny pumpkins and gourds growing underneath it if you could find them. It was certainly an adventure which we tried to make the most of. We found several very fun and unique gourds and enjoyed ourselves.
I was so impressed with my kids. Olivia wanted to do this so badly. She thought about being nervous for less then a second when it came time to get up on the horse but because she was so excited to do it she was all smiles!
After sister and cousin Kenzie took a turn Dylan was not at all hesitant to take a turn too.
While heading through town Tom and I went down memory lane and took the kids inside the local pie shop that we had our first date at. We ordered the french silk pie we had that night and told our kids all about our first date.
The kids LOVED the pie too.
Well Dylan loved the whipped topping of it anyways.
