Painting - our first stop on our visit!
Sand Box!!
Daddy filled a strainer and then held it up for Dylan to feel the sand fall through his hands.
Dylan loved it!!

SLIDES - so much fun!!
Building block - this exhibit lasted a minute tops but I liked the picture of Olivia I snapped before she moved on.

Water Fun!!
A little girl showed Dylan that if he stopped the water just enough the water would spray! Yeah, Dylan thought that this discovery was GREAT fun and proceeded to spray all who accidentally came near. Luckily must of the kids played on the other side of the water area. This is probably the play area Dylan stayed in the longest!

Super Hero Olivia!
Trains!
This is the reason we ventured out today...so Dylan could see their train exhibit...in our opinion this exhibit was a let down. The buttons to control the trains were on the outside of the room and only one worked. Dylan enjoyed looking but we were not impressed and spent maybe five minutes here.
This is also the time we heard tornado sirens and went to inquire on how bad the threat was...we were told that the county to the south of us had a tornado and we had about 30 minutes to clear out if we wanted to...we got to the car and the down pour started...we drive home which is the opposite direction of the storm and got out of the rain and away from the storm. We tried to remain calm for the kids benefit of quickly leaving the Magic House but Olivia was very stressed and concerned as we got ourselves home. When we got home we found out that a tornado (which only did tree damage) did affect an area maybe 5 miles from where we were. We were happy to be home. We were watching the weather coverage and they showed a home in Mississippi that was destroyed from the storms and Olivia went "Oh no, the Magic House!" We quickly explained that the picture was from far far away and not the Magic House. Olivia requested that the next time we go to the Magic House we do it on a day with no storms.

Oh wow, I was wondering how you guys were faring during all those storms. Glad to hear you are all safe and sound though. Let's pray for continued safety! We had our first round of severe weather enter the region today. No tornadoes, but severe thunderstorms popping up all over the place. Mostly to the east of us. (sigh) And so begins another thrilling summer. We hope you all stay safe!
