At the first of December we traveled to my parents and were able to help
them decorate their Christmas tree. This tradition is almost as much
fun for my kids as decorating their own tree.
Olivia was very excited to find Grammy Lee's favorite childhood ornament
Pluto. This is a grand kids favorite ornament too. Olivia put an a show
with Pluto before getting around to putting him on the tree.
Creative ways to get up high.
Dylan has gotten GOLD/1st place on all of the hardest levels of Mario Kart Wii. The only thing left for him to do is what's called Mastering those levels by achieving a "star" rank on those races. That is where Tom is at in the game. And there is some time trial mastering that Dylan hasn't even attempted to master. BUT because Dylan got gold on all of the hardest level he has unlocked a bonus level called "Mirrors". This bonus level is exactly backwards as if you were looking in a mirror. If you turned right before now you turn left etc. It's kind of funny to see the differences because you got so used to the races being one way. So it's a CHALLENGE!
Okay well since Dylan has been playing on this bonus mirror level he has started to win trophies and unlock stuff that Tom hasn't gotten to yet because he hasn't started his mirrors yet. It's pretty funny because Tom is having a hard time knowing that Dylan is further then him. Tom knows that because he has fully mastered everything that you can do on each level before advancing that he has some stuff that Dylan doesn't but now that Dylan has some stuff that Tom doesn't have it's hard for Tom to accept. It's pretty funny.
Ashlyn loves to climb up on Dylan's bed and lay down like a big girl!
Dylan has been asking for a big boy bed like big sister has and I'm pretty sure that this is Ashlyn's way of asking for her own big toddler bed of her own.
Santa was at the Ward Christmas party. It was a dinner set in Old
Jersulam which is why Dylan has a scarf around his head. I forgot to
take it off before pictures with Santa. So that explains that. They just
wanted a picture with him since they had already talked to Santa about
what they wanted. They also asked if he was real. He deflected the
question back on them and my kids answered what you believe in your
heart.
I made the girls matching pillow cases. The girls LOVE them. This is Ashlyn's first pillow and she took right to it.
The girls were being so cute together I just kept snapping pictures.
Just like a box will entertain. Bring in the car seats for cleaning and the seats in the house will become a HUGE hit to play with.
My attempt at getting some Christmas photos in front of the tree.
Look at that attitude!
Volunteering at Dylan's school.
They had a Christmas theme today and the kids made these fun Christmas ornaments.
Ashlyn has learned how to walk backwards and how to spin. Whenever she hears a song she starts to spin. It's darling and quite funny!
