He headed to the zoo this weekend to do the other half that we didn't get to do a couple of weeks ago when I took the kids. We got to enter the dinosaur exhibit for free during the first hour. As I suspected Olivia was not so sure - so Daddy carried her and we skipped the extra scary looking ones. Then we got to really enjoy a baby chimpanzee who was playing it up for his audience. He was tumbling and rolling, playing peek-a-boo, and eating for us. Then we went around the big cats and got to see the tiger and lion up walking around. After that we got to see the baby giraffe for the first time. It was being picked on by the ostrich that is in the same pen and keep going to Mommy for protection. The Mommy didn't seem too concerned about the whole thing. We were given free tickets so then we got the great pleasure of hitting up the train for a ride around the park and then the sea lion show. Dylan absolutely loved the train ride. His whole face lighted up when the train started up and he bounced with joy. He also really enjoyed the sea lion show and would smile and clap as he was entertained. Olivia on the other hand more enjoyed going around and seeing the animals. So each kid got to enjoy different aspects of our day at the zoo. At this point we called it a successful day at the zoo and headed home. Dylan, Olivia, and Mommy came home and took a nice long nap.
