Needing to write...

Tom's basketball season has ended with a great season. They finished 7 and 2 and tied for first place. They don't win the tie breaker but second is still good. The great finish makes the two losses that much more heartbreaking though because both losses were less then two points.
Good season!!!

We'll miss getting to go cheer Daddy on the court but next up is SOFTBALL season!!

Headed down to my parents for a weekend trip to celebrate my Mom's birthday.
Ashlyn has become a better travelers and didn't scream the whole way! We were excited!
It took Ashley a while to warm up but Papa got her laughing and then she was ready to open up.

Birthday time!

Olivia's homemade presents. A birthday card and a true book all about Grammy Lee. Very cute!

Spent the night.

Soaking up the baby time.

Making ice cream!

The kids had a plan. Dylan wanted to help me make the cake and put in the eggs, water, and oil. Then Olivia wanted to help decorate the cake. This is what she wanted me to write and then of course make it pretty!!

Making pizza for lunch one day. This is Dylan's version of helping make pizza grab the pepperonis and take off to eat them. Olivia's naturally ended up a smiley face!

This is the first picture that shows her short haircut.

Ashley got a basket on her head.
She wasn't too thrilled that instead of rescuing her I went for the camera.
By the time I got the basket off of her head she was starting to get sad.

Dylan's version of helping Daddy vacuum out the cars and later he helped wash them. Doesn't he look helpful!!

Olivia is on cycle break and we are enjoying having her home. She has been busy with play dates and running errands with Mommy. She imagines, creates, and "arts" every day!! She writes all the time and is getting so good at trying to sounds things out on her own. It's so fun to have her home. She gets one more week off and then has to go back to make up snow days.

Ashlyn did three new things for us. On March 1st she said "MAMA" (she's really good at it now!!). On March 2nd she clapped and then on March 3rd she picked up her table food with her pincher grasp and put it in her mouth. Those were a fun three days. Speaking of Ashlyn learning her pincher grasp she is doing good at eating table food. Refuses being spoon feed baby food and has gone straight to table food. I have her eating crackers, bananas, peaches, pasta, applesauce, and girl scout shortbread cookies!! YUM YUM!! I'm going to try a veggie next.

Dylan is my energy boy! He has been loving the nicer days and getting the chance to play in the back yard!!! He is so ready for spring! We are expecting some more nice days this coming week. I see a park in our future!

Oh and of course I'm super excited the my team the Kansas Jayhawks won their conference tournament and are a number one seed in the NCAA tournament! Let the fun begin!! Go KU!
