Mud Glorious Mud!

Since our sump pump has been installed and set up to drain into our back yard the yard has been overwhelmed. We estimate that our sump pump drains every 12 minutes. Crazy amount of water. This has lead Tom to undertake a project to extend the drain pipe all the way to our curb which takes the water to a street storm drain.

This is Tom digging in to the mud.

Look at those muddy shoes.

The trench (at least on this side of the fence).

Tom laid the pipe and buried his trench. Then we re-seeded the grass and put hay over the grass seed. One initial connector wasn't a good fit so unfortunately Tom has a bit of repair to do to his line, but we have seen such a benefit to our back yard!

We know what its like to have a flooded yard. That was Joseph's first big undertaking when we moved into the house in Memphis, a drainage system in the back yard. Looks good, Tom. You are really becoming quite the handy man.
