Olivia distracted herself during Conference with a puzzle to pass the time while she waited for President Monson to talk. She was excited to complete her Primary assignment and listen to the Prophet speak. She then wrote down what President Monson said. First she told Daddy and had him take notes and then was helped to write it out for herself. She wrote: Thank you, If a man die shall he live again, and Resurrection. This earned her new pack of markers and a pencil for her Primary leader. She was delighted!!
This is Mommy and Daddy's Easter miracle. After much forcing and fighting we finally got the kids to hold still for two minutes and they were both asleep. "AAAAHHH"
Mom slipped outside to hide the eggs for our final hunt. This was the first hunt that included the eggs the kids colored and stickered.
Dylan was hilarious. If he found a real egg he would just throw it. We didn't understand why until we saw him pick up a plastic egg and shake it. Then we had to break it to Dylan that none of these eggs had candy in them. He didn't believe us for a while and continued to throw the real eggs and shake the plastic eggs. But he evidently gave up hope that one of the eggs contained candy.
Dylan found a pink real egg that Sister had put stickers on, so he took it to her.
Dylan didn't stop there - he started helping Sister fill her basket.
Once the first egg hunt was done then the kids hide for Papa and Grammy Lee to find. Dylan's version of hiding was to dump his whole basket next to this tree. Olivia was more careful in her placement of the eggs. I think Papa and Grammy Lee traded off with the kids several times in who hide and you found the eggs.
We stayed outside until about dark. It was a BEAUTIFUL Easter day!!
