We had so much fun at Dylan's water party this weekend we had to break out our back yard water toys. We got this slip and slide for the kids and they are really enjoying it. They don't understand to get a running start or at least they aren't willing to let themselves fall down, so they get themselves on their tummy's and then we push or pull them down. More work on Mom and Dad but they love it. It took Dylan a while to warm up to it but we eventually had him going down too.

Ahhh, you make me miss the good ol' days! We were the last kids on the block to get a slip'n slide and when we did we got one with a "speed ramp" (more like a speed bump) in the middle of it. We would go flying down the slide and the bump would put us air born just enough that when we landed it knocked the air out of us and almost guaranteed a bruise on the hips. I think after the first couple tries and bruises we just used the bump as a pillow and would just lay on the slide with the water spouts raining down, keeping us cool. Oh and then there was the grass burns...don't get me started on those!! Despite it all, I still love summer water fun!!!
