Last Days of Kindergarten

In the general award ceremony...I'll never forget how I had to run home because my camera didn't have the memory card in it. Oh well, I got back and still got to see her and the fun part was when we went into the classroom afterward.

Reading Award

Her silly award....
"Whisper Award!"

This is what her teacher wrote in the comment section of Olivia's report card: "Olivia has been such a sweet student to work with! She tries very hard and has learned so much! Olivia just needs to work on speaking up and speaking clearly so others can understand what she is asking/telling them. Keep reading! Have a wonderful summer!"

Outstanding Student Award

Mrs. Bertino with Olivia

Home from school on the last day of Kindergarten!!

Cheering that she's a 1st Grader now!!

Then the next things she said is how much she'll miss Mrs. Bertino. This is the first time she's said anything about being sad. She's been so focused on meeting her First Grade Teacher (which she got to do today) and about her summer reading camp that she's just been looking forward. She is happy to know that she'll still see her Kindergarten teacher and can hug her every time she sees her. Olivia is also excited to already know five students that she'll have in her class room next year and she is so very excited to have her own desk next year instead of the tables.
Where did the year go? It felt like it went fast. She has grown so much and we are so proud of her!!!
